I was in the meteorology dept at Ft Huachuca from 1957 - 1959 with an MOS of 905.1 (Meteorological Observer). I came across your site by clicking on the Sierra Vista link on "StrikeStarUS.com. I still feel an attachment to Sierra Vista and Ft Huachuca and have made arrangements to have mine and my wife's Cremains placed in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery there. Admin reply: Thank you for the posting Oliver, and also the additional information. I too sir love the Sierra Vista area. Being born and raised in the Denver area, the climate is roughly the same, but the openness is what I enjoy most. No worries in my lifetime, of Tucson and Sierra Vista being a continuous city!
